Yoga at Red Barn Wellness Farm

Yoga is an ancient practice of mindful movement, breath, creativity & meditation, that has become increasingly popular in today's busy society. For many people, Yoga provides a retreat from the external influences of their day to day lives; an opportunity to reconnect with the true nature of one's authentic self, with the support of mindful community.  The intention of all of our classes, retreats and trainings, here at Red Barn Wellness Farm, is to offer a studio practice that continues off the mat and into your world.  We believe that Yoga is an ageless lifestyle that promotes holistic wellness of mind, body & spirit and has the great potential to carry into your daily life, relationships, communities, workplaces and, ultimately, the well-being of our Planet. If you are interested in learning more about our offerings, please visit our Calendar of Events. All of our classes & retreats require pre-registration. Please contact us to reserve your space. We look forward to welcoming you to this transformational practice that can help you learn, grow, become more empowered and relaxed on & off the mat!

Private Yoga Therapy & Holistic Wellness

Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach to healing and wellness that integrates traditional yoga practices with modern therapeutic techniques. It combines physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness practices to address various physical, mental, and emotional health concerns. In addition to being a Yoga Teacher since 2013, Fotini Chandrika also holds certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, Clinical Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Vedic Counselling, Herbal Studies, Expressive Arts Therapy, Vibrational Healing (sound, energy...) and more.

In Yoga Therapy, the focus is on the individual's specific needs, taking into account their physical condition, emotional state, lifestyle, and overall well-being. Fotini works closely with her clients to create personalized practices tailored to their unique requirements and goals.

The benefits of Yoga Therapy are diverse and can include:

  1. Physical well-being: Yoga Therapy can help alleviate physical ailments such as chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, hypertension, and respiratory disorders. Through targeted asanas and breathing techniques, it aims to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and overall physical health.

  2. Mental health: Yoga Therapy is increasingly recognized for its positive impact on mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, and insomnia. The combination of mindfulness practices, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques can promote emotional balance, reduce symptoms of psychological distress, and enhance overall mental well-being.

  3. Emotional balance: Yoga Therapy encourages self-awareness and emotional regulation through mindfulness and meditation practices. It provides tools for managing stress, processing emotions, and cultivating a sense of inner peace and resilience.

  4. Spiritual growth: For some individuals, Yoga Therapy serves as a path for spiritual exploration and growth. Through meditation, contemplation, and connection with inner self, it can facilitate a deeper understanding of one's purpose, values, and interconnectedness with the world.

Yoga Therapy sessions may be conducted one-on-one or in small groups, where Fotini shares her specialized training and experience in both Yoga and therapeutic techniques. The therapeutic relationship between Fotini and her clients is based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect, with Fotini's intention being to serve as a guide and facilitator on her client's journey of tuning into their body's innate wisdom  while supporting their healing and self-discovery.

This program is more than a Yoga Teacher Training certification; it is a beautiful opportunity to deepen awareness and mindfulness, and that is such a gift. I could not have conjured up a more perfect fit for myself in regards to the program and Fotini herself. I am so grateful to have had her guide me through my first Teacher Training certification.

Soft, sacred and supportive. Those are the best words to describe Fotini and her yoga classes as well as her manner of teaching them. It is a space I FEEL genuine love in energetic terms. I always leave with a connection to source through gentle movements, non-judgemental guidance, and authentic caring. and of course the horses always send their energy to make the sessions extra special.

Thank you Fotini for this opportunity. YTT has already created shifts in me, in relationships and in my work with trauma clients. I'm excited to see this path unfold and what I will create and share. 'Yoga is Devotion' moves me to the mat. There I find myself in my Truth, there I remember who I am. Thank you for reminding me.
